Idea #84 – Visiting the temples of Thebes in Egypt
Thebes contains the most extraordinary stories in the history, art and religion of ancient Egypt. Hundreds of rulers, the pharaohs to Roman emperors, beautified the city of monuments, obelisks and sculptures. The exaltation of life is expressed in Thebes, with the fabulous site Luxor and Karnak, on the right bank of the Nile, with its temples dedicated to the divine triad of Montu, Amun and Mut, while the celebration of the afterlife stood in the Thebes of the Dead.
