Idea #615 – Admiring the know-how of Istaravchan’s blacksmiths in Tajikistan
In the immediate vicinity of the bazaar, a real city in itself, are the workshops of a dozen Tajik smiths who make famous knives and excellent quality. These real artists of the forge are able to achieve, in addition to these functional knives or decorative, all kinds of metal objects, from the nail to the stove, through the rake or door hinges … Equipped with a bellow oven almost an antique, anvil, pliers and hammers, they shape the metal as clay is shaped.
