Idea #351 : Down the Dranse river in a Canoraft
The Dranse river is a very plentiful river, as all the streams stemming from massifs of the Pre-Alps. It has a typically nival flow regime, with however a small pluvial component. It presents seasonal fluctuations in flow ; high tides take place in spring and are essentially due to the cast iron of snows. They come along with average monthly flows going from 30 to 40 m3/, from April till June included. And as we like the cold water, we said to ourselves that it would be interesting to go down it, on a canoraft…
Where is it ?
La Dranse, Haute Savoie, France
