Idea #116 – Spending a weekend in Bruges
Bruges is the administrative center and most big city of the province of West Flanders. It knows its golden age between XIIth and XVth centuries, thanks to a prosperous business centred mainly on the drapery, which marked durably its identity. Completely built in Gothic style, of origin, the city is cut by numerous canals, which are worth to it the nickname of ” Venice of the North “, and its historic center is registered on the UNESCO world heritage today. Among the inescapable, produce you on the big Place, with its belfry, stroll in streets, taste an old-school chocolate, taste(savour) Flemish biscuits, travel canals in boat, rest you in the Beguine convent, and let go by the serenity and the tranquillity of the city of primitive Flemish…
