Idea #98 – A crossing on a motorized barge Normandy landing
The DUKW is an amphibious vehicle, designed in 1941, by the American Army. He soon took nickname duck . It was used for different landings of the American Army during World War II on the beaches of North Africa, Sicily and Normandy. You can still find some specimens brought up to standard in Normandy and the Channel Islands , where they allow amphibious transport as away Elisabeth’s Castle in Jersey, rising tide.
