Idea #82 – From Crotoy to St Valery sur Somme steam train
The line “Crotoy-St Valery”, in the Bay of Somme in France, 7.6 km long, was founded in 1887. The train brought tourists to resorts and carrying pebbles, shells, beets and other crops of the Somme. Famous painters and writers took it : Colette, Toulouse Lautrec, Anatole France, Jules Verne … Today, a steam locomotive, model Pinguely, built in 1815, lets go back in time !
