Idea # 79 – Visit the island of La Gomera (Canary Islands)
Gomera is situated in the West of the Canary Islands. A tenth of the island is occupied by the national park of Garajonay registered on the UNESCO world heritage list. Little lived, the island is appreciated(estimated) by the walkers for its protected nature. We speak the silbo, one of the rare languages whistled to the world there. San Sebastián, capital of the island of Gomera, welcomed Christopher Columbus in stopover in 1492, which passed by the last city of the known world there : ” de aqui partio Colonist ” as it is read.
