Idea #73 – Climbing up the Soufriere volcano at 1467m in Gwada
The Soufriere is not only one of the main volcanoes in Guadeloupe, but also the highest peak on the island, culminating in 1467 meters. It consists of a cone of 900 m diameter, with sinkholes and cracks, giving off hot and rich sulfur gas. The wind blow often very strong, and the air … unbreathable.
