Idea #59 – Diving on the wreck of Mama Vina in Playa del Carmen, Mexico
Mama Vina is a boat 30 meters long, which was poured in 1995 specially for the divers and which is lying in a depth of 28 m. A magnificent wreck, for experimented divers. The current can be there sometimes very strong. The wreck contains several rooms and corridors which we can cross and explore without danger.
Many of the small fishes live inside the wreck. In the surroundings, we can see many of platax and jack fish, and frequently an enormous barracuda in the current, as well as a huge turtle. I had the pleasure to see crossing a huge moray eel in my flippers, within the wreck: guaranteed sensations!
