Idea #459 – Diving in the Fang Ming’s wreck in La Paz
November 18th, 1999, two Chinese vessels, Fang Ming and Lapped L03, of respectively 56 and 36 meters long, are poured near the ïle Ballena. These vessels, seized by the Mexican government because used for immigrants’ illegal transport, stay property of the state Mexican before being poured to be transformed into artificial cliffs. Fang Ming was the first vessel voluntarily poured in South America to this end.
Fang Ming is lying today as deep as 21 meters and the divers of any levels, simple novices in the most experimented, can dive on this wreck. If you are afraid of getting lost, follow the guide : a sea lion will welcome you for a complete visit!
