Idea # 226 – Test kitesurfing in Essaouira
The kitesurfing, called initially flysurf, is a sliding sport which was invented by the quimperois brothers Legaignou. This sport consists in putting on a board of type wakeboard and to be towed by an inflatable wing, going of a surface of 5 m ² for the conditions of strong wind to 20 m ² for the light winds. The kitesurfer is hung on the wing by its harness, and pilots by means of a bar where are connected the lines of drive, which allows to tighten rear by two movements, consisting in lining or in shocking the wing. The activity is divided between several disciplines, from the freeride to the freestyle which consists, by jumping, in making figures with the wing in high position, that is over one. The kitesurf can nevertheless admit a little bit dangerous, so be carefull. Let’s go, the wind is blowing !
