Idea #594 – Discovering the megaliths Hunebeds of Borger in Netherlands
Borger is a city of the northeast of Netherlands, a few kilometers away from the border with Germany. It is called the “capital” of the road of megaliths. These dolmens were set up during the Neolithic, between 3450 and 3250 before J.C., by the said people of Trechterbeker civilization ; dolmens are again used by the civilization of klokbeker by 2850 before J.C., during the Ancient Bronze Age. Numerous dolmens delivered shards of potteries, and in some, in particular D27 and D30, human bones. Death chambers measured initially approximately 1,5 in 1,7 meters high; by the sedimentation, the ground level in little by little gone up, making them almost impracticable. Notice that, among them, the dolmen D27, is the biggest dolmen of the Netherlands: it is 22,5 meters long and it is covered with nine paving stones !
